SPLAT! What a Mess!

Join us for Vacation Bible School July 21-24, 2025 at West Jackson Street Baptist Church in Tupelo, MS!

God's Got This:
From Our Mess to His Message

Life can get messy — spilled paint, muddy shoes, and moments when nothing goes as planned. But even in the middle of our mess, God is at work, turning every splat into something beautiful. Join us at West Jackson’s Vacation Bible School for a week full of laughter, learning, and unforgettable fun as we discover how God takes our messes and transforms them into His message.

Messy Outfits. Meaningful Impact.

Each day brings a silly way to dress and a special coin to bring for missions. Every penny, nickel, dime, and quarter goes toward blessing others through our VBS mission partners.
Mismatch Monday – July 21
Have you been looking for the perfect occasion to wear that purple and orange plaid shirt with those green and yellow striped shorts? If so, this is your day! We're kicking the week off with Mismatch Monday! The worse, the better! 🤪

On Monday, we ask the kids to bring pennies for our collection for our mission projects. There will be a time during the opening assembly for the kids to come forwards and leave their coins each day.
Technicolor Tuesday – July 22
Show off your favorite color by wearing it head ago toe on Technicolor Tuesday! Together, we'll make up a super bright TECHNICOLOR of awesomeness! Clothing in solid colors is encouraged. See you bright and early Tuesday morning!

On Tuesday, we ask the kids to bring nickels for the collection for our mission projects. There will be a time during open assembly for the kids to come forward and leave their coins each day.
Wrinkled Wednesday – July 23
Don't touch that ironing board because Wrinkled Wednesday is almost here! How will you make sure your clothes are wrinkled to perfection? Will you crumple them up and shove them under your bed? Will you sleep in them? Let's see who shows up WRINKLED beyond their years! 😁

On Wednesday, we ask the kids to bring dimes for the collection for our mission projects. There will be a time during open assembly for the kids to come forward and leave their coins each day.
Tourist "Trust" Thursday –July 24
Whether it's tropical Hawaiian shirts or themed ball caps and jerseys, we can stop wandering and just relax because #GodsGotThis – wherever life takes us, HE's in control. Put on your tropical gear as you think about how HIS paradise is THE BEST!

On Thursday, we ask the kids to bring quarters for the collection for our mission projects. There will be a time during open assembly for the kids to come forward and leave their coins each day.

Join Us for Family Night!

Thursday, July 24th at 6:00 PM

The whole family gets to experience VBS – there will be games, skits, worship, and hear the day 5 message from Bro. Keith. There will be a FREE fellowship meal immediately following Bro. Keith's message.

Arrival/Dismissal Procedures

EVERYONE WILL CHECK IN AT THE STATIONS IN THE SANCTUARY LOBBY AND DISMISS FROM THE SANCTUARY.

The South Entrance (Sanctuary Lobby) and the Preschool Entrance will be the only doors open.

*NOTE - This year Preschool PK5 and K will check in and pick-up in the LOBBY not the preschool department.

Children will be walked in by their responsible adult and checked in. The child's name tag will have a corresponding number which will be given to the adult also responsible for picking the child up. This corresponding number must be presented in order to pick the child up. This is for the safety of the children as well as the protection of our leaders and our church.

Missions Spotlight

Each year at Vacation Bible School we choose a mission project to donate the money we collect during the week. This year, we have chosen two projects to support: The Shine Foundation here in Tupelo and Matamoros Children's Home in Matamoros, Mexico. Children and Students of WJSBC actively participate in serving both of these organizations.
The Shine Foundation is a Tupelo based non profit, built upon the goal of loving those with special needs and their families. We want everyone to feel seen, supported, and valued in our community. The Shine Foundation creates a variety of opportunities for all individuals to let their light shine.
Since 1967, Matamoros Children's Home has been caring for orphans, neglected, and abused children with "Unconditional Love." For over 50 years, many people have come and helped make the Home what it is today. They now care for more than 150 children! Their needs are never ending but with God's Grace and your help, they continue... Learn more about the Matamoros Children's Home by watching their informational video here.
