Missions Spotlight

Each year at Vacation Bible School we choose a mission project to donate the money we collect during the week. This year, we have chosen two projects to support: The Shine Foundation here in Tupelo and Matamoros Children’s Home in Matamoros, Mexico. Children and Students of WJSBC actively participate in serving in both of these organizations.

The Shine Foundation is a Tupelo based non profit, built upon the goal of loving those with special needs and their families. We want everyone to feel seen, supported, and valued in our community. The Shine Foundation creates a variety of opportunities for all individuals to let their light shine.

Matamoros Children's Home since 1967 has been caring for orphans, neglected and abused children with "Unconditional Love". For over 50 years, many people have come and helped make the Home what it is today. They now care for more than 150 children!
