The Youth Ministry of West Jackson Street has a heart for God which is
pumping with energy and passion to reach teenagers with the gospel of
Jesus Christ. We believe that God is going to use these young men and
women to do earth-shaking, life changing things in this world for the
Kingdom of God.
We use a series of ongoing weekly activities: Sunday School, Wednesday
night Youth Worship and Bible Study sessions, a prayer breakfast, and
more. Biblical truths are embedded and conveyed in each of these
activities, presented in a way that helps young people create and
sustain a Christian foundation that will prepare them for adulthood.
Our
Youth Ministry is designed to create life change in teenagers, and
enables them to become life changers themselves in their everyday
lives. Young people enjoy and grow together in a Christian walk through
a schedule of summer activities, Disciple Now Weekends, camps, mission
trips, and retreats, and other forums of fellowship.
On this page, you will see some pictures of our Youth Mission Trip to
Chicago on June 19-25, 2004. Twenty-four youth and adults spent seven
days serving the Lord in the inner-city. Some of the ministry included
conducting four Backyard Bible Clubs each day, doing door to door
canvassing, and yardwork.
