3 BASIC TRUTHS ...
The Family Discipleship Ministries at West Jackson Street Baptist Church believe what happens at home is more important that what happens at church. We desire to intentionally partner with parents to empower families to live out their faith at home. We invite your family to engage in any of the 4 primary environments described below. For each of these, children (K through 6th grade) are led in experiences that nurture the discovery, growth and implementation of the 3 basic truths (listed above) in their own lives. Through various small and large group environments, our focus is to build a foundation that will help children as they move into different levels of spiritual growth and adapt to everyday experiences.
BASE CAMP Sunday Mornings @ 9:15AM in Building D Join us for our weekend, small-group environment for our kids as we discover a new virtue every month.
ASCEND Wednesday Evenings @ 6:00 PM in the “Family Clubhouse” - Building G Join us for our mid-week, large group environment for our kids as we build on virtues, scripture memorization, missions, and relationships each week. Kids will be invovled in recreation, hands on Bible studies, and mission education, as well as worship. Each week of the month is different…DON’T MISS IT!
fX (Family Experience) The first Wednesday of each month @ 6:00 PM in "The Family Clubhouse" - Building G The first Wednesday night of each month families with preschoolers and children (even youth from time to time) gather to worship God together in a high-energy, engaging atmosphere. We preview the virtue of the month and celebrate what God is doing in our families. Each family is given a "Take Home Challenge" to practice their faith at home. We invite you to experience fX for yourself!
JaM & NERVE 2 SERVE Sunday Evenings @ 6:00 PM in the PS Assembly Room and the “Family Clubhouse” JaM is our kids choir for K-4th grade where we prepare for monthly and special presentations. Nerve to Serve is packed full of service and missions through drama and music for our 5th & 6th graders.
